With a valid relationship between Census and Accounts, you can add fields from accounts to a layout based on Census and the data from the related Account record will appear in the fields.
I can get them to show up on Census, but I can only get one per Census Record. When I print out the Census Cover record, I only print one, all of its calculations are Summary fields or count fields that show data from all records. How would I create the relationship to show more than one on the same record. If there are 3 birthdays that flag, I'd like it to show all on on all records so when I print the cover sheet, it displays all. I can't seem to get non related Account to show.
I assumed that a census record would match to only one account record or a group of account records for the same individual.
Are each of these flagged birthdays from different accounts not related to the current Census record or do you have a relationship that matches to all the records from which you will display "flagged" birthdays?
I'm thinking you can set up a filtered portal with a filter expression that selects for the "flag" values, but you need a relationship that will match to all such account records.
"Are each of these flagged birthdays from different accounts not related to the current Census record"
Yes, they are from different Accounts. I would like to use a portal, but haven't figured out how to make that relationship work for more than one to show up.
Instead of =, use the cartesian join operator X.
Census::anyfield X Accounts::anyfield
witht this operator, any record in Census matches to all records in Accounts. Since you already have at least one relationship between accounts and Census, make a new occurrence of Accounts to use in this relationship so that your existing relationship(s) remain unmodified.
Then you can use a portal to this occurrence of Accounts with a filter expression to filter out all but the records with "flagged" birthdays.
Thanks sooo much... I actually tried something close to this, but I made a new assurance of accounts and Census, but needed to connect the graph accurance to the main Census, not a new assurance.
Once again you are the man..
