Create a Cartesian relationship ("x") between the Date table and a second occurence of the Date table.
Show that second TO in a portal on your layout. Attach a script to the Date field. That script will grab the primary key of the related Date record and Perform a Find for that Date.
First set up a portal with a relationship that uses the X (cartesian join) operator so that all existing records are listed in the portal. This, most likely, would be a self join table between the table occurrence referenced in your layout's Show Records From setting to a new occurrence of the same table and that's what I will assume here.
Then set up the fields in your portal row with a script that uses the current data in the clicked portal row to find your record.
Your script can use Go To Related records to then jump your layout's current record to the record clicked in the portal in one line.
Use a self join to the same table.
Click on PotLuck to select in Manage | Database | Fields, then click the duplicate button (has two green plus signs) to make a new occurrence of it.
Link any field in PotLuck to any field in Potluck 2 and change the operator to X.
Make your portal a portal to Potluck 2.
Awesome. Never used Cartesian Realtionships before. Worked like a charm. Thank you!
