2. There is something wrong with that "sort selector". Sort Records only sorts the records in your found set.
Can you describe the design of your layout in more detail? Is this a table or list view?
The layout is list view. Based off project starter solution.

Then any "sort selector" is a button that performs a script to sort your records. I suggest that you examine the script being performed here to see why you are getting a found set of all records.
This is what the script is...can you see anything wrong?
Sorry, but there is no way that the above script can modify what records make up the current found set. Something else is bringing in the other records in your table before this script sorts them.
BTW, $$Script_Trigger will not be "Off" when you first open this file. That could keep this script from running unless you have some other script that initializes that variable.
That's why I use:
If [Not $TriggersOff ] for what I presume is the same kind of test. The default value of a global variable is null which evaluates as false and thus I don't have to initialize this variable when I first open the file.
