You can definitely use SELECT *. I don't see a "SHOW FULL COLUMNS" listing in our documentation. You may want to review the ODBC and JDBC Guide that came with FileMaker PRo 10. Or, you can view the guide online at:

The ODBC guide is where I got the list of ODBC catalog functions that FileMaker supports. I haven't found any information in the guide about SQL statements that can be used for getting database schema information from a FileMaker database though. I was hoping that perhaps FileMaker had some undocumented SQL statements that would provide schema information.

No, FileMaker does not have any undocumented SQL statements. The SequeLink driver is being used to extract data from the FileMaker database file, and will only allow you to retrieve data.
