I have a sub-summary (based on on employee) for a report because the application allows retro-active transactions for previous months. Example: if information for 2 months ago is coming in now (May) - 2 months late, the system adds the info to the employee as March and April transactions. Thus the SUb-summary totlas 3 reords, regular (may), March and April and gives a total for the employee with a total of deductions for this month and the last 2 months. It works perfectly.
But . . . I do not want a sub-summary if only one detail record (no retros) is in the body since I end up with a detail record and a duplicate sub-summary, a detail record and a duplicate sub-summary, a detail record and a duplicate sub-summary, etc. because non-retro records are the norm. We only get 4 or 5 retros a month.
Does Filemaker 11 give the option to conditionally suppress a sub-summary if it has only one record to summarize?
