# Summarizing specific repetitions in a repeating field

### Title

Summarizing specific repetitions in a repeating field

### Post

I have a 40 repetition repeating field. I want to summarize specific sets of repetitions such as 1-25 and then 26-40. Is this possible without running a script?

If no field of YourRepeatingField is ever empty, you could solve with two calculation fields:

Let (
R = YourRepeatingField ;
Evaluate ( Substitute ( MiddleValues ( List ( R ) ; 1 ; 25 ) ; ¶ ; "+" ) & 0 )
)

Let (
R = YourRepeatingField ;
Evaluate ( Substitute ( MiddleValues ( List ( R ) ; 26 ; 40 ) ; ¶ ; "+" ) & 0 )
)

If that repeating field may have some empty value, you'll need to apply those calculations to another calculation field with 40 reps and calc:

Let (
V = YourRepeatingField [ Get ( CalculationRepetitionNumber ) ] ;
If ( IsEmpty ( V ) ; 0 ; V )
)

Brilliant!

Thank you.. This helped me understand many new functions I never used. Thank you.
