Without knowing more details, is the tab the appears when the layout is open, named as an object in the Inspector?
If it is, it sounds like the script that opens the layout has a 'Go To Object" (being the Tab) command after the "Go To Layout" command. Regardless of where the tab is on the list...
There are no scripts under managed scripts, the tab does not have an object name in the inspector.
I created the tabbed panel from the toolbar and created tabs (say) 1, 2, 3 in that order.
At a later time I decided I wanted to have tabs 0, 1, 2, 3 in that order, I created a new tab and moved it to the top of the list, which has moved it to the first location to the left of all other tabs when I look at the database. But when I close the database and reopen it, it opens in tab (1) view.
- Enter Layout Mode
- Double click the tab control
- In the top right corner is a drop down labeled "default Front tab"
- Select "tab 0" from this drop down and click OK.
Many thanks for that. It was staring me in the face really, I feel a bit daft, but you've saved me much time.
