Also I should add that I am very new to filemaker, and am working with filemaker pro advanced. and eventually server.
The OnObjectSave script trigger is tripped each time a value in a field is changed. It can be used to perform a script that uses set field to clear each field where the value in the field is no longer the member of the new list of values in the conditional value list or it can just clear all of them.
How would you code the script for this? Im not sure what methods would be used to watch for the change. Thank you so much for the reply.

The OnObjectSave trigger "watches for the change". It is only tripped and thus only performs a script if the value in the field set up with this script trigger is changed.
The script can be nothing more than a set of set field steps:
Set Field [Yourtable::Facility ; "" ]
Set Field [Yourtable::Building ; "" ]
Set Field [Yourtable::Area ; "" ]
Set Field [Yourtable::Room; "" ]
With some value list formats, OnObjectModify can also be used.
I set this up and its kind-of working. Only problem is in my script trigger tab, neither OnObjectModify or OnObjectSave are options? am I maybe setting this up in the wrong area or something?
Right now what I am doing is clicking edit layout > click the pencil button next to the layout name> click the script trigger tab.
At this point its only giving me a few options:
OnRecordLoad, OnRecordCommit, OnRecordRevert
OnLayoutKeystroke, OnLayoutEnter, OnLayoutEnter
Is there a different place I am supposed to be setting up script triggers for each field? instead of the entire layout?
Ah ha! nevermind I found it, and it works perfectly now (right clicking on field to add trigger) Thank you so much for your assistance:)!
