TF Help?! Deadline! FileMaker 11 Advanced-Exporting an xls results in 0's from a calculation field

      Post

      Hello,

I have a time sensitive task, and an unexpected problem in FileMaker 11 Adv...THe database has been in use for over a year (created in FM 10). I have, until now, had no issues with calculations or exporting to an xls. The database 18 tables, 60 relationships, 52 layouts, 341 scripts, and 21 value lists. There are 179 fields in the table I am having this trouble in.

It is a simple enough calculation; compiling the answers from about 38 fields. The answer is an aggregate of languages used in instruction manuals. There are over 3,671 separate records.

      The code is:

      Case (${EN Number} ; "EN    " )  & Case (${EN[us] Number} ; "EN[us]    " )  & Case (${EN[uk] Number} ; "EN[uk]    " )  & Case (${FR Number} ; "FR    ")  & Case (${FR[eu] Number} ; "FR[eu]    ")  & Case (${FR[qb] Number} ; "FR[qb]    " )  & Case (${DE Number} ; "DE    ")  & Case (${ES Number}; "ES    ")  & Case (${ES[eu] Number} ; "ES[eu]    ")  & Case (${ES[mx] Number}; "ES[mx]    ")  & Case (${PT Number} ; "PT    ")  & Case (${PT[eu] Number} ; "PT[eu]    " )  & Case (${PT[br] Number} ; "PT[br]    " )  & Case (${NL Number} ; "NL    ")  & Case (${IT Number} ; "IT    ")  & Case (${SV Number} ; "SV    ")  & Case (${DA Number} ; "DA    ")  & Case (${NO Number} ; "NO    ")  & Case (${FI Number} ; "FI    ")  & Case (${EL Number} ; "EL    ")  & Case (${CZ Number} ; "CZ    ")  & Case (${HU Number} ; "HU    ")  & Case (${RU Number} ; "RU    ")  & Case (${PL Number} ; "PL    ")  & Case (${TR Number} ; "TR    ")  & Case (${BG Number} ; "BG    ")  & Case (${RO Number} ; "RO    ")  & Case (${SK Number} ; "SK    ")  & Case (${SL Number} ; "SL    ")  & Case (${EE Number} ; "EE    ")  & Case (${LV Number}; "LV    ")  & Case (${LT Number} ; "LT    ")  & Case (${CS Number} ; "CS    ")  & Case (${KR Number} ; "KR    ")  & Case (${JP Number} ; "JP    " ) & Case (${AR Number} ; "AR    " )  & Case (${TC Number} ; "TC    " )

It has never caused any problems till now. I am concerned that there might be a bug in the new version (I've had it less than a month), and I have recently had my Excel updated to 12.2.4. I'm on a Pac Pro with 2 GB memory. I monitor the memory and processor usage, and nothing has sucked up either resource. I have over half of my memory available and nothing much in the way of processor usage. The vast majority of fields are indexed. The db itself is 80 Mb.

I could really use some advise on this. I am under a deadline. Any help would be most appreciated.

      Thanks,

      Peter
