title at the top of a printed page
How do get a title at the head of each page?
Put the title in the Header, not the Title Header.

Lots of reading for me to do thanks sooo much.
Im on a tight deadline to complete some forms so I aplogies for not doing my homework and reading up before asking this question.
I am trying to put a page count on a print out. I have used the inset page symbol but I get page ! on every page.
What am I doing wrong here?
Do you want the page count, the page number or both?
I may be helpful to capture and upload the portion of your layout where you inserted this symbol and if you do that, be sure to capture this screen shot while in layout mode.
I am after the page number, eg 1 ,2,3,4
based off what I am browsing.
I have attached a screengrab
You are using Filemaker 11 or older, correct? (Filemaker 12 uses a different page number symbol).
Why would you put the page number symbol in the body of your layout?
Assuming multiple records per page, this symbol will appear multiple times on each page.
Usually, it is located either in the header or the footer layout part.
And you will only see the page number in Preview mode or when you print or save as PDF.
I just threw the page symbol back on for the screen grab and positioned it wrong.
Ill try again. see attached
Im on v 11
It still may be positioned wrong. Note that the selection handles are above teh body/footer boundary, which might change your results.
