Transition from E-Mail Client to SMTP Server
I'm using FMPRO 11.
I've created a series of template e-mails that generate at the push of a button.
Originally, when I used the E-Mail Client, the script had the option of unselecting 'perform without dialog'. This would give the user the opportunity to small changes as it relates to his/her specific case before the e-mail was sent. This e-mail obviously contained his/her names as the sender.
We recently decided that all e-mail related to this issue should be sent out through a standard company email address... so I've decided to use SMTP. The problem is that the option of unselecting 'perform without dialog' is no longer an option. The user no longer has the ability to make edits before the e-mail is send.
Is there a way of getting around this?
You can put up the details that the sender might need to change in text fields--perhaps global text fields. Put these fields on a layout with a button that performs or continues your script to send out the email
Your Send Mail step can then refer to these fields in order to produce the desired email.
