Trigger on Hover
Has anyone worked out how to trigger a script on hover change state?
or anything that might return same result
You want a trigger to fire by anyone hovering over a field or button at anytime? Makes me nervous. Can you explain in a little more detail exactly what you are trying to do?
I have built a color picker with a grid of portals and I would like to display related info about each color as I hover!
The "tool tip" doesn't cut it unless you know if there is any way for it to display a container?
I'm afraid that there's no way to do that as far as I know. What kind of container data do you want to have pop up like that?
The "tool tip" doesn't cut it
If you are on Windows, you could use the free plugin at http://www.goya.com.au/baseelements/plugin to fire a script by tool tip.
Thanks for the link Raybaudi but my application running on ipad as well as windows!
I found a workaround which working well!
I'm looking for the same solution. Can you tell me what the work around is?
Hmmm, but how do you "hover" on a touch screen? That makes no sense.
I wasn't successful in finding a workaround although I have no doubt someone will have done it!
I thought when I first upgraded to FM13 the solution was solved with the new Popover button but was really dissapointed it didn't have a "trigger on Focus" option.
That would be a really valuable tool! .... I wouldn't be surprised if its something FM will add at some point.
To repeat: And how would you give that popover button the focus when using a touch screen?
And the only way that button of any kind gets the focus is for it to be part of the tab order and you press tab/enter/return to put the focus on the button. But if you do do that, the OnObjectEnter trigger is selectable for both regular and popover buttons.
Sorry! I meant to type "trigger on hover"
I don't need the solution for touchscreen as it wouldn't make any sense! Although I did mention it in an earlier post (probably wasn't out of bed long)
I've just seen this on line, which is why I raised this again.
