To increase the size:
Enter layout mode.
Make sure the correct page size is selected in Printer Setup...
Drag the border of the body layout part down until you see horizontal dashed line marking the page break appear when you release your mouse. Then drag the border back up until it just barely disappears.
Why would you need a single blank page like this?
I did manage doing it that way for other layouts already, but it seemed to be such a make-shift way to do it. Basically, I'd like each record to be it's own page, and not try to double up 2 to a page if they fit. I'm using it for this particular layout as a pay stub sheet for my teachers, but I use this format all the time, like student invoices, and just about everything. Is there a way to make the new blank layout default to letter size? I did already check under Page Setup, and it says Letter for any printer. It's a little puzzling. Thanks again for your input.
So it's not really a blank page, you just want to make sure there's only one record per page when you print it.
- Enter Layout Mode
- Double Click the Body label for that layout part.
- Select page break after every 1 occurrence and you'll get one record per page.
Perfect! While that works well, I still have to manually change the size to fit everything for my layout, but it does mean I don't have to worry about doing more than one record per page. It is just a little strange that the default size is a index card size and not letter size, or at least a user being able to set that as a default. I guess I can just keep one that size and then select duplicate layout when I need it. I might write to them and ask for that for a feature request. Thanks so much Phil! Sincerely, Paul
It's actually fairly rare that all layouts would be this size (keep in mind the Europeans use A4). Many layouts use a much smaller size and list multiple records per page. Given how easy it is to change the size as needed, I personnally don't see that as a major issue.
