Title

Trying to run FMP11 from network drive like we do for FMP5

Post

We currently use FMP5 to access a client's DB.  The licensed FMP5 executable is on a network drive and two users can access it via desktop shortcut to open the client DB.

The client is about to upgrade to FMP11 so we bought a copy (don't want to upgrade the FMP5 until client completes conversion).

We installed FMP11 on the server, just like FMP5 but when we try to run it across the network from a PC shortcut, we get the following error:

The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail.

What are we doing wrong, please?  Why is it different??

TIA,
