You may need to make a custom menu set. I have not played around with this aspect much one of the others will probably be by with a better answer.
aammondd is on the right track.
With FileMaker Advanced, you can either remove those menu options or have those menu options perform scripts of your design that convert 'show all' or "show omitted only" into Show all or show omitted records that you are permitted to see...
Is this only a feature of FileMaker Pro Advanced 11 ?
I have FileMaker Pro 11.0v3.
If so, I guess I need an update...
it's been a feature of FileMaker Advanced for a number of versions.
Personally, I would never try to develop a FileMaker database without using Advanced. It just has way too many useful features that aren't available to the developer if they use FileMaker Pro. This is one of them, but the script debugger, database design report, and custom functions are all equally useful and not available unless you use advanced.
Please note that you need advanced only to add the cutom menu. Once added, regular FileMaker can be used to open and use the database and the custom menu added via FileMaker advanced will work as designed.
