Understanding PRINT vs PRINT SETUP - confused

In my script I have a PRINT SETUP step with dialog that lets the user select a printer.

Then within this one script are several PRINT steps, some printing current record others printing all records being browsed. These PRINT steps should run without dialog.

When I set up the individual PRINT step I use the specify print options window to indicate current or all records. The problem/not understanding is that in this window it also makes me specify a printer when the -only- thing I want to specifiy is current or all records.

How can I let the user select a printer once at the beginning and have that selection carry through the rest of the script?
