      User/Account name??

      Post

I'm trying to display WHO is logged into the FM solution, based on what they type in when they log in.

I usually run the admin login, and if I use Get (UserName) or Get (AccountName) in a global field, I see 'Admin' as the result.

If I then login as a second person who I've set up, it still shows as admin.

The Preferences>>>General>>>UserName is blank, but previously when the second person's account was created did have 'admin' entered.

How do I get FM to tell me it recognises that either Rita, Sue or Bob has logged in and they're not called admin?

      Thanks in advance

You don't actually need a calculation field to show who is logged in, but to get it to correctly update, it must be set up as an unstored calculation field. And you would use Get ( AccountName ).

To show this info without defining a calculation field, you can enter layout mode and use the Insert menu to insert layout text that will update as the user's account name.
