Using a form to enter multiple selections to a text field

      Post

Newbie - Creating a simple customer service database, I created a table for Customer data, a table for services available, and a services rendered table. I want to be able to pull up a customer and select 1 or more services rendered on that date. I create a form with buttons (insert text) which when clicked insert the code for a service from the services available table. How can I make multiple selections which result in multiple code entries into the text field (i.e.. 103, 109, 990)

While you could do exactly what you are describing, I'd recommend you NOT put multiple entries into the same field. Instead set up a Portal of related records. "Creating portals to hold related records" in your on line help is a good place to start.

If you insist on your approach, you could use:

Insert Calculated Result[Yourtable::YourField, Yourtable::YourField & "¶new txt to be added goes here"]
