I believe that you need another application.
You want to control multiple media inputs and outputs.
I did some developement, years ago, with Director.
I would suggest you investigate
This is a tall order. You may want to investigate the Perform Applescript script step to control the other applications.
you can... perform applescript
AppleScript is pretty ugly... so keep it to a minimum.
Heres how to do it...
You write the AppleScript in AppleScript Editor
Then paste the working AppleScript into a table called... AppleScript (FMP table that is)
Write FMP find scripts to retrieve the AppleScript you need.
You can replace "markers" in the applescript with data from FMP, ie, a file name to open, set AppleScript variables, etc. You do this by retrieving the AppleScript into an FMP variable and substituting the place holders with the real values.
Now... controlling monitors... not sure about that. What I am sure about is from FMP you can create and run AppleScript that controls remote (other networked) Macs... ie... you can tell another mac to open a remote FMP app... open mail... do anything you can do locally with AppleScript... This may be your only option to control "monitors", or other Macs in this case. This piece is actually not that hard. We do this to increase processing capacity... by controlling a suite of MacMinis and several user accounts on each MacMini
