Using Filemaker to present a non-editable Filemaker pro media manager on CD/DVD for a client?

Post

Hi there,

I use to use Filemaker pro a long time ago and haven't had need for years.  So consider me a newbie - who has a fundamental understanding of building databases with filemaker pro.

I will buy Version 11 if it can do this?  Can someone help and my apologies in advance if this seems obvious!?

I have a science based client who I need to provide a DVD of an image database.  This DVD (or CD) will be a searchable database of a bunch of images with scientific names which they will need to be able to search by various names.

1) I could probably build the database quite easily using Filemaker Pro.   But then how do i burn this database to a dvd for anyone to be able to then pop in their computer and use.  (with or without Filemaker).

Many thanks in advance.
