Better check the file type of the image that you tried to upload. I would guess that it is not one of the supported file types--each of which is listed below the Post a new Answer box.
The appearance of a field object is controlled by two things in FileMaker 12--the particular theme selected for the layout and the appearance settings specified in the Inspector.
Ok - sorry about the image - I can't show it for some reason. I thought I had uploaded it.
But whatever. The field has a three quarter line around it, bottom and right hand side only. I don't want this. I know Filemaker pretty well but am total stumped as to how to remove it so that the field has NO border showing.
I have looked at Inspector till I am blue in the face - but cannot find how to delete this part-border.
I don't know about "themes" for layouts. I just create layouts and the fields I want - and do NOT ask for borders on fields.
If, when anyone replies, please bear in mind that I am not a computer GEEK (although i have been using a Mac since 1985!!!)so simple clear help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Every new layout that you create is automatically assigned a theme. You can use Change Theme in the Layouts menu to select different themes for your layout. You can also use Change Theme to see what theme has been selected for a given layout.
In the Inspector are different settings (circled in red) that can affect the appearance of your field. What options have you selected?
Apologies for not getting back sooner. You have ringed in red various settings. After a huge amount (putting it politely) of fiddling about - I have finally managed to get rid of the dreaded lines! I didn't realise I had to go back to"Edit Box". Simple when you know how. Most grateful - thai you!
