Using the Perform Applescript to add text to a newly exported document...

      Post

I notice in the documentation that I could use a script to have Filemaker tell one of my applescript applets to execute.

I don't know applescript ALL that well, but I want Filemaker to tell one of my applets to run on the freshly created document.  (the applet essentially adds some formatted text at the head of the document along with some tabs, making it difficult to export from Filemaker the way it needs to be formatted).

From the examples in the help I see that I can do something like:

Perform AppleScript ["tell application "My Applet" to doMyRoutine()"]

Assuming my file (and it's location) are defined as $newly_created_file

How would I tell Filemaker to run "My Applet" on the newly created file?

It would essentially be the equivalent of dropping the newly_created_file onto the applet (which is what I do currently).

Filemaker Advanced 11.03 on a Mac.

      Thanks in advance!
