Viewing PDFs on Mac  OS X Lion

1. Put Adobe Internet plug-in ino FileMaker's Extension Folder, this seems to control size of image being viewed.

2. To elininate the max files open message/problem create a PDF Web Switch field .

    Set WebViewer to if ( PDF Web Switch = 1; PDF Path ; "")

The following Script ensures only one record is ever set to 1. Thus only 1 PDF file is open at at any given time.

 

Next Record Screening

Replace Field Contents [ MERGED Data::PDF Web Switch; Replace with calculation: 0 ]

[ No dialog ]

Set Variable [ $$Amt; Value:MERGED Data::Amount ]

Set Field [ MERGED Data::PDF Web Switch; 0 ]

Pause/Resume Script [ Duration (seconds): 1 ]

Go to Record/Request/Page

[ Next; Exit after last ]

Set Field [ MERGED Data::PDF Web Switch; 1 ]

Set Field [ MERGED Data::Unit; $$Unit]

Set Field [ MERGED Data::Status; "YES" ]

Set Field [ MERGED Data:: Amount; $$Amt ]

Go to Field [ MERGED Data::AnyField]
