You can do one thing here that, if you have more than one record then just put a loop in the script and check
If[not Isempty(Fieldname ) ]
-------get the data-----
Go to Record Request [Next, Exit after last]
Go to Record Request [Next,Exit after last]
End Looph data
By this code it will check only the fields which have values will fetch data otherwise left it.
Hope it will solve your problem.
Thank you for your response Dillip. I tried the script but I am still getting records that have no address in my directory listing. Though, logic says that this should work. Back to the drawing board.
Enter Find Mode
Set Field [YourTable::YourAddressField ; "*"]
Perform Find // or use Constrain Found Set
Use perform find if you want all records in your report except for those who have a blank address field. Use Constrain Found set if you've already found the records you want and just want to exclude those with a blank address field.
(And if you already have such a find being performed in a script, you can add the criteria from line 2 above to refine that find to exclude the records with blank address fields all in one go.
Hi Ellen -
I'm trying to do the same thing, and I was wondering if you ever found a solution? Thank you!
Threads that are more than three months old no longer appear in recent items when a new post is added to them. I only noticed your response by chance. WIth older threads like these, you are better off starting a new thread as it will receive much greater visibility if you do.
That said, the suggestion that I posted several years ago should do what is needed.
