Watermark / Logo in Report
Is it possible to include a watermark/logo in the background of a report? I have searched the Forum and have not found anything.
I'm using Pro 11.
Yes you can! Depending on where and how you want it to appear, will depend on guidance from the forum.
In layout set up, you have "parts" select a part, like the BODY and insert your watermark. Now it will be in the background when you put your "reported" data fields on top it.
Much depends on the design of your layout. WIll this be a form view layout where you have one such watermark for each record?
Thank you both for your reply.
I will be viewing this in "List View".
You can do that both Logo's and Watermarks in the List View.
You might in Layout mode of (List View)
Select Header Part (left edge button)
Insert your Logo
Select Body Part (left edge button)
Insert image of your Watermark
Then, as I said they. will be in the background
I use a image created in a graphic Applictation with say..... DRAFT..... in very light red color on an slant and Font size 48,
Save as a .jpg or .png file and insert it in the Body Part of the Draft, (List View Report0
Does anyone know of a way to keep the image that I want to use as a watermark in the center of the page and keep it the same size?
The same questions are unanswered as they were 5 years ago when this discussion thread was created.
What kind of layout design are you working with?
To that "the same size" as compared to what?
This is easy with a form view layout, not sure if its possible with list view.
Sorry to keep bothering you.
Form view, yes. And by same size, I mean I don't want it to resize.
Instead of having the logo more towards the top of the page, I'd like it centered both vertically/horizontally on the page. Thanks for the help. I'll take a break after this question so I don't wear you out.
i understand that OP wants to do this in Form view but for completeness' sake I just played around with this and it seems you can apply a watermark in list view even with multiple parts.
1. Enter Layout Mode
2. Without selecting any parts, set the fill of the layout to your watermark image
3. Select each part in turn and assign Fill to None.
I've attached a sample file. The Subsummary Group layout is the one with the watermark. Sort by State and City to display the subsummary part if necessary.
bleyden, you can use this technique in Form view too and it's possible that the watermark will float in the centre of your document. Or you can paste the graphic right into your Body part, centre it, and deselect all anchors in the first tab in the Inspector.
EDIT: forgot the attachment!
Perfect, thank you so much for the help PeterDoern!!
My pleasure, I'm glad it's working for you.
I always forget the FILL of the document (no parts selected). But the fill:none for all the parts is important, too.
Thanks for jogging the grey celss cells, PeterDoern!
edit: I must clean my glasses!
