    Web Access log msg

      Title

      Web Access log msg

      Post

For several weeks now on and off I have been seeing this entry  "/fmi/conf/config.wpc" 200 2054 in my web access log from an unknown IP address. It is only a single line entry. The entry follows after the IP address and Date/Time stamp.

Using a web search I have identified the IP address as coming from what looks like an internet service provider, which owns a full range of numbers.

Also, any advice on how to better manage the web log data.

      Thank you.

          Thank you for your post.

The log files track activity your database receives from web users.  This allows you to monitor what pages were accessed and by what users.  The error codes can be found in the FileMaker Pro Help.  The entries added to the log file are in the order that FileMaker processes them.

The log files can become very large, so you may want to consider archiving them from time to time.

            TS Gal,

            Thank you for your reply.

The FM help section provided assistance with some of the codes but did not include others. For example there is no reference to 2054. The log has also contained other error codes such as 868 and 496, without an available explanation.

Is there a more complete list available?

Also, is there some way to have the log indicate real-time web activity? The only way web log content refreshes is to close and reopen the file.

            TY

The first number is the error code.  The second number is an internal code number that is not available.

No, there is not a more complete list.

The log is read into memory and then displayed.  In order to refresh, you have to reopen the log.
