      Web Companion Copy & Paste

      Post

      I have made this script (activated by a button) and it works fine in FileMaker Pro 9.

      Copy [Select; schedule::date_wednesday]
      Go to Layout ["employees" (employees)}
      New Record/Request
      Paste [Select; No Style; employeers::date]

      But when using it in the Web Companion it refuses to Paste.

      Any help very welcome... Thank you...

          Schedule::date_wednesday and Employees::date must be on the current layout in order for copy and paste to work correctly. That's the first thing I would check, especially since your script does not specify a starting layout.

          Here's a better script for the same process:

          Set Variable [$date ; schedule::date_wednesday]

          Go to Layout ["employees" (employees)]
          New Record/Request
          Set Field [employees::date ; $date]

          This script does not require the fields to be present on the current layout.

          (I'm assuming that "emplyeers::date" is a typo. :smileywink: )
