OK, no idea if this will help but there are settings when you set up a web viewer - see attached screenshot...
also, here is my link that works cleanly:
"http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=" & "," & picacontax::Organisation Address 1 & "," & picacontax::Organisation Address 2 & "," & picacontax::Organisation Suburb & "," & picacontax::Organisation State & "&t=h&z=16&output=embed"
or, it may be a Lion issue, latest OS seems to be causing a few problems with Java etc...?
Thank you for your suggestion, but it didn't work. Maybe it has to do with Lion. I'm going to try it out on a Snow Leopard machine that I have.
Has anyone had any luck fixing this problem of "font size not supported" on the Mac? Seems to work fine on Windows or even in FileMaker Go on an iPad.
I am having the same problem. Anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of this message.
I think that this is something to do with the width of the web-viewer.
I get the message on a web-viewer of 877px width or less, but not if I increase it to 878px or greater (depth doesn't seem to make a difference).
I wonder if this is some sort clash between the viewport size (=webviewer width) and some internal Google maps coding.
I've not really experimented with the behaviour, but a sledgehammer/nut solution would seem to be to adjust your webviewer width.
Any one had any luck with this one, I'm a +1 on this issue
This appears to be fixed by adjusting the relative size of your web viewer window.
JonJ gave me the idea to fool around with the size of my web viewer.
400px by 500px works
a width of 500 px and 400px or less also seems to work.
Good Luck, Mike
I have fixed this problem after 24 hours hard work, this is the problem of the web viewer, if you don't want see those pop up message, you need to use the static map.
replace the blue words according to your database. Good Luck!
Thanks Han Man. The "standard font size not supported" error was driving me crazy.
However, in using a static map, I found that a push pin would no longer show up on any location specified in my Web Viewer. I looked up Google's documentation on static maps and found that you have to specify a marker be dropped and then specify the location. The URL below is a Custom Web Address in the Web Viewer Setup, but most of the URL below I copied from the Google Maps (US) setting.
"http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/staticmap?center="& /*Address=*/ Site::bus_StNum & " " & Site::bus_StName & "," & /*City=*/ Site::bus_city & "," & /*State=*/ Site::bus_state & "," & /*Zip Code=*/ Site::bus_zip & "," & /*Country=*/ "USA" &"&size=320x220&sensor=true&markers=color:red|"& /*Address=*/ Site::bus_StNum & " " & Site::bus_StName & "," & /*City=*/ Site::bus_city & "," & /*State=*/ Site::bus_state & "," & /*Zip Code=*/ Site::bus_zip & "," & /*Country=*/ "USA"
According to Google's static map documentation (link below), you have to use a pipe character "|" before the address of where you want the pin to drop. https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/staticmaps/#Markers
I ran in to this and found that it is about the RELATIVE size of your view to the window. I have a viewer that was sized to fit the majority of an 8 1/2 X 11 page in portrait mode. Got the error. Found that when my FileMaker was much bigger (wider) than the webviewer I got the error. Adjusting the widow to FIT cured the problem. Go figure.
