Look up GetLayoutObjectAttribute in FileMaker Help. It looks like that function, if used with the Source attribute, will return what you want here. But you'll need to test it to be sure.

Is there any way to use GetLayoutObjectAttribute(objectName;"content") that returns only the text of a webpage, rather than the source code (html + text you see on the page)
I understand the basics of using Screenscraper for scraping + google docs for limited scraping, and what I have read so far seems to indicate that FM12 can scrape webpages, but what I have read so far on google searches is a bit beyond my abilities.
Are there any good references to read to learn how to use GetLayoutObjectAttribute(objectName;"content") and only populate the target field with the text not html.
Basically, i just want to have the text from the webpage I want to add to the field and not the html.
Not that I know of. You'd have to come up with a substitute calc that removes the HTML tags and that would not be a trivial calc if it needs to work with many different web pages.
