Title

WebDirect:  Username and Password Rentry Required for Multiple Databases

Post

We have utilized Filemaker Server Advanced 12 IWP interface to access many databases.  In this configuration, each database utilizes the same username and password.  Filemaker 12 IWP interface allows for the user to be authenticated (username and password) and, after authentication, the user could be permitted to access separate database files for a specific period of time (e.g., 60 minutes) without reentering their username and password.  However, Filemaker 13 WebDirect requires the username and password each time the user accesses the database and it is quite burdensome to reenter this information when switching to other unrelated databases.  My customers have expressed their displeasure with this new feature of WebDirect.

Please let me know of any setting or work around to ease the navigation around several unrelated databases without reentering username and password for a specified amount of time.

Thank you.
