Title

Why don't fields auto complete?

Post

I have 3 tables defined: customer, product, product_purchase.   product_purchase is a bridge table between the other two.  I have the relationship defined that way as well:

     customer <> product_purchase <> product

I have these fields in product_purchase:

Product (join to product table "product name" field)
     Price
     Date Purchased
Customer ID (join to customer table "customer id" field)

I have a customer and product entered.  I want to enter a purchase for that customer.  When I start typing in a value for "Product", there isn't any auto complete.  Why doesn't FileMaker auto complete that field since it knows which ones can go there?

Also, is the above structure good for allowing reports against the Producct table to see which customers purchased product X?  And against the customer table to see which customers purchased product X?
