      Window positioning

      Post

I am trying to get a new layout window to open immediately to the right of an existing open window.  I typically use variables such as $Top and $Left and $Width to place a window when it opens.  However, I cannot figure out how to get my second window to open to the right side of an existing open window (if it will fit on the screen) and if it does not fit on the screen, how to get the second windows right edge to be at the edge of the screen (and thus it may overlap the first open window).  Any ideas?

Windows positioning works very differently on Windows and OSX.
