Copying records from to another table with condition

      Post

I'm trying to find a way to "push" some records from a table to a second (related) table using a condition that applies to the one specific field in the first table. The solution will have to a include some way of going through all the records of the first table, test the condition(s), and if it is "true", copy the record (or fields) in the second.

      Is this possible?

      Thx.

The best option is to design your database so that copying records from one table to another is not necessary. Of course, this isn't always possible.

You can perform a find on the source table for all records that match your "condition". Then, you can either use import records or a script that loops through this found set of records to move the data to the other table.
