By co-incidence, I posted a question about this same issue a few days ago: 64bit ODBC driver?
I find it very frustating -- I'm trying to use Powershell to sync Exchange with our filemaker database of students, but of course Exchange 2010 is only x64 (including the Powershell cmdlet), and the filemaker ODBC driver is only 32bit. You cannot use both in the same script!
I hope they sort this out soon! We've got a whole bunch of new kids coming in August, and I don't want to make the mailboxes by hand!
Narcan and Jonj:
FileMaker is a 32-bit application and does not support a 64-bit xDBC driver at this time. I encourage you to enter this suggestion into our Feature Requests web form at:
Although I could easily copy your posts and paste them into the web form, there are some additional questions asked that only you can answer.
Thanks -- I've sent a request. I wonder if an interim update could be posted, as it can't be too hard to compile the current driver's source code to x64? It would be very useful, as x86 really is finally done and dusted, and I think that you'll be surprised how quickly x64 will be adopted.
