Did you try clearing the "delineate" check box in layout setup?
Don't know which checkbox you mean since I have german GUI. I added a Screenshot to illustrate settings. Hope it may help.
Don't know why a grey triangle shows up in color selector's right/upper corner.
… and that .25px line at bottom of field doesn't show up either.
I'm sorry I'm verry busy and after all, getting tired and fed up of doing free beta-testing for FMI.
(I think I counted more than 190 FM12 related bug reports in your Known Bug List DB as of today!)
I'm also too tired to wright feature-requests to enable PDF and TIFF uploads to FMI Forum.
It's not in your screen shots. While in layout mode, click the pencil Icon in the upper left part of the status tool bar to open the Layout Setup... dialog box. A new feature in FileMaker 12 is the "Delineate Fields on Current Record Only". Most of the time, you have to clear this check box to get your layout to print and show the appearence settings such as the layout fill color for all records and not just the current record (and in preview/print, there is no current record...)
deactivate 'Delineate fields…' seems to solve this issue.
Layout was created with a FM12 Theme and later changed to Classic Theme
I consider the current implementation of this "feature" a major nuisance as it is the default setting on new layouts and I have to clear it 9 out of 10 times. In some layouts--particularly list views, it can be a very handy way to further highlight the current record without having to set up a conditional format expression, but why the heck did they not disable the feature when printing and previewing?
