Summary

Bug with time calcs that are between 11:00PM and midnight

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

all FM7 versions

Operating system version

Macintosh

Description of the issue

Make a time field, call it "Start"
Make a number field, call it "Adjust"
Make a calc field, call it "End" -- the formual in "End" is: Start + Time(0; Adjust; 0). The calcualtion is Time.

Enter "1:00PM" in Start and enter "-61" in Adjust.

End will return "11:59AM" (instead of the correct "11:59PM")

End continues to retun AM until Adjust is at "-120" were it will suddenly return "11:00PM".

NOTE: This problem does not exist in FileMaker 5 or 6, but when a correctly calcualting FP5 file is converted to FP7, the bug appears.

Steps to reproduce the problem

See above

Expected result

11:59PM

Actual result

11:59AM

Workaround

I changed the formula to

If (End You Had Been Getting > Time ( -1 ; 0 ; 0 ) and End You Had Been Getting < Time ( 0 ; 0 ; 0 ); End You Had Been Getting + Time ( 24 ; 0 ; 0 ); End You Had Been Getting)
