Summary

Calculated parameter with get ( CurrentDate ) doesn't work with server scheduled script.

Product

FileMaker Server

Version

10

Operating system version

Windows Server 2003

Description of the issue

I created a script that uses a script parameter to determine how many new records, if any to create. It creates one new record from the most recently dated record in the table to the date passed as a parameter.

Thus, a script parameter of Get ( Currentdate ) + 31 should create one record for each day until a date 31 days in the future is reached.

Using Get ( CurrentDate ) + 31 as a parameter the scheduled script does not generate any errors, but the specified records are not created.

Expected result

Records up to the date calculated and passed as a parameter are created.

Actual result

No new records were created.

Workaround

Create a new script with just one line:
Perform Script ["original Script" ; Parameter: Get ( CurrentDate ) + 31]

Use the server schedule to perform this script instead of passing a calculated date as the parameter.
