Summary

Calculation returning formatted text doesn't work on buttons in IWP

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

12.0v4

Operating system version

Mac OS X 10.8.5

Description of the issue

If a calculation field is supposed to return formatted text, that calculation field, when used as a merge field on a button, doesn't return formatted text in Instant Web Publishing.

Steps to reproduce the problem

Create an unstored calculation, "FOUND_format" which is defined as
If ( Get ( FoundCount ) > 0 ; TextColor ( Get ( FoundCount ) ; RGB ( 245 ; 29 ; 29 ) ) ; Get ( FoundCount ) )
and returns a number.

Put a button on a layout, and make the text of the button a merge field of FOUND_format.

Access the layout via Instant Web Publishing.

Expected result

You'd expect the button's text to be red if the number's above 0, and black otherwise, when accessed both IWP and via the desktop version.

Actual result

The desktop version works as expected, but when accessed over IWP, the text in the button is always black, no matter what the found count is.

Workaround

A normal field, and a merge field not on a button, work as expected in IWP.  The IWP documentation for FM 12 doesn't mention this condition.
