Thank you for your post.
At this time, parameters are not implemented in WebDirect URL's. I encourage you to enter this request into our Feature Requests web form at:
The entries populate a database file that is hosted and monitored by Development and Product Management, where each entry is discussed and considered for possible implementation in a future release. Although I could copy your post and paste it into the web form, there are a couple of questions asked that only you can answer.
So am I to understand then that Filemaker broke all functionality for EZproxy and other automated login systems used by libraries and other organizations as a result of this.
I filled in the feature request but this is an urgent and critical issue for us. How are solutions delivered to universities and other organizations with large rotating user populations supposed to handle access? These things need to be centrally managed so that users accessing our databases from their network have seamless access. Passing out usernames and passwords and then changing them every semester when new classes come in is just not an option.
I also added my vote to the feature request but this needs to be fixed soon. (I use "fixed" specifically here.) I just got off the phone with a freaked out client who has deployed this feature to hundreds of his customers...
