    Can't open file

    MarianIvanLiska

      Summary

      Can't open file

      Product

      FileMaker Pro

      Version

      FilemakerPro 6.0v1

      Operating system version

      OS X 10.6.8

      Description of the issue

When trying to open DB   following prompt appears:

The temporary file “DB calendars 2013.fp5” could
not be created on the system disk. Use s different
name, make more room on disk, or unlock it.

Filemaker was in use since installation. This software is properly registered.

I did not lock any file and just 2 month ago I updated the list with no problem.

Back - up copy does show the same prompt.

      Any suggestion?

Exact text of any error message(s) that appear

The error message is telling you that FileMaker can't write to the hard drive. There are a number of possible reasons for that.
