Discussing this with other support technicians, we don't have an idea why this is happening. If the DSN is created and the test connection works, then it should work. We have sent a message to our Testing departments for some possible insight/guidance. I will keep you posted.
If you have since found a resolution, please post here so others who encounter similar symptoms can benefit.
Our Testing department could not reproduce the problem, but they would like to see:
- the export file of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBC.INI\<DSN>
- test file
- ODBC trace file before and after the bug happened (ODBC Data Source Administrator > Tracing.)
