Summary

Change of Table Name: one more inconsistency

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

11v3 Advanced

Operating system version

OS X 10.6.7

Description of the issue

I recently changed the name of a Table and its occurrences in multiple files. It used to be a Print Preferences table and is now more general. So I changed from "PRINT_PREFS" to "Preferences". I'm aware that a definite issue happens if the Table name is used in a Script Parameter. I've found another area: Custom Menu items' "Override default behaviors"/"Item Name". For one item I use: ""Print Sub Sheet" &" "&"("&GetField ( "Preferences::Printer_Color" )&")"" so the item in the menu displays as "Print Sub Sheet (Epson . . .)". The Calculation was originally "Print Sub Sheet" &" "&"("&GetField ( "PRINT_PREFS::Printer_Color" )&")". After changing the Table name to "Preferences" the calculation did NOT UPDATE and the menu displayed "Print Sub Sheet(?)". I had to edit each Print command in this Custom Menu to correct the Table name.

Steps to reproduce the problem

As above

Expected result

The calculation should update the Table Name as every other calculation would.

Actual result

No update. Name must be manually changed.

Exact text of any error message(s) that appear

Workaround

See above, although it's not a workaround, just a "redo"
