Thank you for your post and screen and screen shot.
I understand this issue only occurs under a Nederlands system on your machine. Since my Windows machine is temporarily out of commission, I want to verify this issue also occurs on another machine. Is that possible? If not, let me know.
I have two similar machines with Windows 7 (always all updates installed). I also have 2 FM13 Advanced licenses. On the other machine the problem doesn't occur ! So the FM software must be OK.
But ... I don't know how to solve it, I don't know where to investigate the one machine that has the problem. I already reinstalled the FM13advanced software, but that didn't help. I executed a registry-cleanup by my Norton Security software. I also compared all Filemaker settings of the two machines, but they are identical. I also compared all language-settings on both machines, but they also are identical.
Can you give me a clue where to look?
Thank you for checking the other machines.
Trying to find out the differences between two machines can be extremely difficult as there are countless settings.
Before comparing machines, I would start by completely removing FileMaker Pro from the machine. That is, uninstall FileMaker Pro Advanced 13, move any database files from the FileMaker Pro Advanced 13 folder to the Desktop, and then move the FileMaker Pro Advanced 13 folder to the Recycle Bin.
Next, reinstall FileMaker Pro Advanced 13. This creates a new folder, and installs new files. I'm doing this in case one or more of the many original files (possibly in the Dutch folder) was damaged.
Launch FileMaker Pro Advanced 13, and see if the issue still occurs.
If the issue still occurs, then try launching the machine in safe mode. That is, stop all non-Microsoft services and try again. If this works, then start adding some of the other services and try with FileMaker Pro again. Repeat until you find a range of services that may be causing the issue. On the other hand, if stopping all non-Microsoft services still has the issue, it gets a bit more difficult.
Continue to keep me updated.
I've tried all of your suggestions but ... not with the result we've hoped for.
I stopped all the non-microsoft services, no network, ... and still the black screens , so I didn't come to the point of adding other services. So unfortunately it gets more complicated as you mentioned ...
If you have further ideas it would be very helpfull.
windows without text: Could this be acrobat related? There were issues with older acrobat versions on Windows 7

And I discovered another problem (User Interface Language: Nederlands)... In Layout-mode ... choose View ... choose Field Picker ... and FM13 advanced crashes. In User Interface Language: English it works fine.
My previous Filemaker version was FM 11 and FM 11 Advanced.
I have noticed that only in the new functionality of FM13 problems occur. The FM11 functionality in FM13 is without problems.
I also noticed that the problems only occur in the new screens of FM13. Screens of the functions in FM13 looks slightly different from the screens of older functions which were in the software since FM 11 for example. So I think that some how the problems has to do with the way the new function screens are generated / build in FM13.

Comment to Markus Schneider: my Acrobat Reader is Adobe Reader XI .. version 11.0.10
Does this new problem also occur on the other two machines?
No, the new problem occurs on that one machine ...
Al the problems relate to the way the 'new' function-screens are build, and then only with User Interface Language: Nederlands.
None of the 'old' function screens has problems on that one machine.
So, if we know in what way the new function screens relate to the User Interface Language: Nederlands and the Windows 7 system (which is also Dutch, on both machines by the way) maybe we can find a damaged system-file and maybe I can replace that file with the same one of my other machine.
