    ilona

      Summary

      Crash Dump - Printing issue

      Product

      FileMaker Pro

      Version

      11.0v3

      Operating system version

      Windows 7

      Description of the issue

When a user tries to print(either to a printer, any printer, or a pdf file), FileMaker freezes. The user then has to force FileMaker to close using the Task Manager. This issue is very frustrating for the users, and there is no workaround. Someone please HELP! :-(

PS> This started happening after we upgraded the computers from WinXP to Win7.

          Ilona:

          Thank you for your post.

It is not clear from you post if this crash occurs with a single file or all files.  If you are trying to print from a specific file, try creating a new database file with one text field and one record.  Go to Print and see if the issue exists.

If this fails, then create a new user account, login to the new user account, launch FileMaker Pro and try the same steps.

Launch your favorite internet browser, go to any web page and print.  Does this work?

Any other information you can provide may be helpful in determining the possible cause(s).
