      Description of the issue

      Installed new version on Executive Director's pc last week, and it worked fine.  Today, program will not start, and I get a generic "FileMaker Pro has stopped working" Windows error message almost immediately after trying to open the program.  I have very little information to provide clues to a possible cause and solution.
      This problem persists even after the program is uninstalled and re-installed fresh.
      Any suggestions on where to start attacking this problem?

      Steps to reproduce the problem

      Happens whenever I try to launch the application.  Occurs even after a fresh install.

      Expected result

      Successful launch of application.

      Actual result

      Application fails to launch

               Are any plugins installed?

                   Just to be clear, are you launching just the FileMaker application or are you double-clicking a file to launch FileMaker and also open a database file at the same time when you get this crash?

                     On my Windows 7 computer, I am unable to replicate with FileMaker Pro 13.

                      

                     To determine if the issue is user specific or system-wide, could you try a new admin account?

                      

                     Does this occur under Safe Mode or after an MSCONFIG?
