Couldn't reproduce the issue using FMPA 10.0v1 under OS X 10.5.8.
Many Thanks for the test, now I'm at a loss for ideas.
I am also unable to duplicate the problem on my iMac using FileMaker Pro 10.0v3 Advanced on Mac OS X 10.5.8.
When FileMaker Pro or FileMaker Pro Advanced launches, it reads information from a Preferences file. If the Preferences file is absent, a new one is created. I don't believe the Color information would be stored there, but since Filemaker Pro Advanced 10.0v1, v2, and v3 all use this file, I would try removing it. The file is located:
User Account -> Library -> Preferences -> com.filemaker.pro.advanced.plist
After removing this file, relaunch FileMaker Pro 10 Advanced, and a new preference file is created. Try again with the "Other Color..." selection.
If that doesn't work, then I would uninstall FileMaker Pro 10 Advanced, remove the FileMaker Pro 10 Advanced directory in the FileMaker folder, and then reinstall. This will write a new set of files including Extension files.
Please keep us posted with any update.
Thanks for the suggestions.
I deleted the preferences and also trashed the FMPro Advanced folder. Then reinstalled.
Unfortunately, problem was not solved.
How many database files do you have? If you only have one file, create a new database file with one text field and one record. See if the problem persists.
Do you have access to another computer? If so, install FileMaker Pro 10 on that machine and try to replicate the problem. If the problem persists, you may have bad copy of FileMaker Pro Advanced. Download another copy and try again.
