    Dates are displayed incorrectly in the Data Viewer "Current" tab

    Malcolm

      Summary

      Dates are displayed incorrectly in the Data Viewer "Current" tab

      Product

      FileMaker Pro

      Version

      Pro Advanced 12.0v2

      Operating system version

      Mac OSX 10.6.8

      Description of the issue

      A global variable contains a date value.
      System settings are Australian.

      In the Current tab the value is displayed in mm/dd/yyyy format.
      When the variable is displayed in the Watch tab the value is displayed in dd/mm/yyyy format.

      Steps to reproduce the problem

      Set up a machine running OS X Snow Leopard
      Set date/time settings to Australia, time zone Sydney
      Install FMPro Advanced v12.0v2
      Declare a global variable, eg, $$_date = get(currentDate)
      Open Data Viewer
      Select the item displaying $$_date and click the "Add to Watch" button

      Expected result

      I expect the data viewer output to respect the operating system date and time settings.

      Actual result

      Watch Tab
      $$_date : 1/08/2012   --> read as 1st Aug 2012

      Current Tab
      $$_date : 8/1/2012     --> read as 8th Jan 2012

      Watch Tab
      month($$_date) : 8

      Workaround

      None
