    delete picture from container?

    AlexTilley

      Summary

      delete picture from container?

      Product

      FileMaker Pro

      Version

      12 advanced

      Operating system version

      Mac OSX

      Description of the issue

      I cannot seem to delete a picture that has been inserted into a container in a single record. When I click on it it goes grey momentarily but nothing happens. Right click does nothing. How do I remove the picture without deleting the entire record? I am in browse mode.

               Hi Alex,

          Report An Issue is intended for reporting possible software bugs. Questions on how to work with FileMaker Pro should be posted in the FM Pro Forum Section. (See tab at top of this screen.)

               In order to allow enduser delete content of a field (container also) you must allow entry on that field. Then, in browse mode, the enduser can use the Edit menu to Clear content. If you don't want allowing manual entry, create a button with the Clear Editing action, that target the field.

               Bye, Fred

                 Set Field [Table::ContainerField ; "" ]

                 Will also clear the field in a script. Unlike Clear, it will work even if browse mode access is not permitted and even if the field is not even present on the current layout.
