      Summary

Display data on a layout from another table.

      Product

      FileMaker Pro

      Version

      13

      Operating system version

      OSX 10.8.5

      Description of the issue

      Hi Everyone,

I have a layout called "Break Fix Dashboard design". I also have another table which consists of list of people for September month who are working on shifts. There are 3 shifts for each day and for each shift two employees will work.Timings for shifts are:
      1st shift ( 6 am to 2 pm)
      2nd shift ( 2 pm to 10 pm)
      3rd shift ( 10 pm to 6 am)

I want to display the names of employees on my layout, who are currently working, based on the current time.
For example if the date is Sep 13,2014 and current time is 7am, then it has to display the names of employees on my layout, who are working at that particular time.

Can anyone please explain the procedure clearly.

      Thanks in advance,
      Rakesh

          Thank you for your post.

In the future, please post to the "Using FileMaker Pro" board as this board is reporting issues with our products.

With that said, assuming your fields are Start Time and End Time, you could create a script that checks the current time [ Get (CurrentTime) ] with the values in the two fields and then display those records.

If the shift is one field, then you'll still have to do some comparisons.

What you have tried?  This will give me a better understanding why it isn't working the way you expect.
