So, one printer works and one printer doesn't? Even if other applications do work properly, the fact that it works with one printer proves that the program is working as expected. FileMaker, inc. has produced a fairly impressive printer troubleshooting guide which can be found below:
Also, since this seems to only be occurring with your specific printer, I would recommend contacting Dymo's support since it was manufactured by them:
Thanks for the response.
No, I should have mentioned that this very same database worked fine previously with FMP 11. With 12, it failed.
So, I still think that FMP is indicated. Unfortunately, it's one of those small issues that will probably never get fixed.
With the latest FMP 12 and the latest Dymo drivers, this remains a problem.
FMP 10, 11 and 12 all work fine printing multiple copies under OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard.
All fail to print multiple copies under OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion.
Printing multiple copies to the same printer from different apps (TextEdit, Preview, etc) works fine under Mountain Lion, so it seems clear that this is a FMP issue.
We do a lot of label printing, so we keep Snow Leopard Macs around just so we can print multiple copies.
Yes, unfortunately this is what FileMaker Pro support looks like. I could pay them $45 to tell them about the problem but...
